Taxi driver medical in Mid Suffolk

Who can carry it out

Your own GP, or a doctor with your records

Your own practice is the straightforward route, but another doctor can do it if they have had full access to your medical history. Private clinics that request your records can qualify. One that examines you without them cannot.

What Mid Suffolk requires

“The frequency of medical examinaƟons is aligned with Group 2 standards, whereby upon iniƟal applicaƟon a medical examinaƟon on the speciﬁed D4 form is required, then every 3 years the driver must complete a further medical examinaƟon unƟl the age of 65”
How often: On first application, then every 3 years until 65, and every year once you turn 65. A short cycle - there is no under-45 exemption here
Form: The DVLA D4 form. The medical can be done by your own GP or by D4Drivers
