Taxi driver medical in Great Yarmouth

What Great Yarmouth requires

“The medical standard required will be that of a Group 2 driver (DVLA Drivers Medical Group) the same standards that are applicable to other professional drivers”
How often: On initial application, then at age 45, then every five years after 45, then annually from age 65. A driver under 65 with a controlled medical condition may be required to have a full medical annually
Possible exemption: QUALIFIED YES – an existing Group 2 medical held for other purposes (HGV or PSV licence) 'may be able to be used' for the taxi driver's licence, subject to discussing it with the licensing team. Discretionary rather than automatic, but it is a real exemption route and worth chasing
