Your own GP, or a doctor with your records

Your own practice is the straightforward route, but another doctor can do it if they have had full access to your medical history. Private clinics that request your records can qualify. One that examines you without them cannot.

What Kirklees requires

Their application page says a medical with your registered doctor to Group 2 standard.
Their policy goes further: if you cannot get one from your own doctor, the council may accept another doctor who has seen your full medical record and declares that they have.
Must have been completed less than six months before you submit your application.
You pay your GP directly and the fee varies between practices.
