Taxi driver medical in North Hertfordshire

“Holders of current PSV and/or HGV Licences, where the holder is able to produce proof of a current medical assessment, will not be required to undergo a further medical examination provided the requirements of subsection 2”
How long it lasts: Less than 6 months old at the licence start date
How often: Only three triggers: you are a new driver, you are over SEVENTY, or you have a health condition that may affect your driving. There is no 45 or 65 ladder here. If you are in the over-70 or health-condition group you must produce fresh certification every year, even on a three-year licence
Form: The Council's prescribed medical form, from the council website, assessed against DVLA Group 2 standards for vocational drivers
Possible exemption: YES - holders of a current PSV and/or HGV licence who can produce proof of a current medical assessment do not need a further examination, provided it still meets the council's form, examiner and 6-month requirements
