Taxi driver medical in Cambridge

Which doctor Cambridge will accept, how often you have to repeat it and which form they want. Councils disagree with each other on every one of those, so this is Cambridge’s answer and nobody else’s.

What Cambridge requires

• “The medical certificate must certify that you meet Group II Medical Assessment standards, as applied by the DVLA in relation to bus and lorry drivers”
• How long it lasts: eight weeks, and measured to the COMPLETION OF ALL STAGES of the application, not the date you apply
• How often: on application, then every five years from age 25 - at 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60
• Possible exemption: PARTIAL - a current PSV or HGV licence with evidence of a current medical is accepted at 45, 50, 55 and 60, but NOT at 25, 30, 35 or 40, where a full Group II certificate is still required
