Taxi driver medical in Monmouthshire

You are not tied to your own surgery, which usually means a shorter wait and a lower fee. The condition is the records: the doctor must have seen your full history, not just examined you on the day.

What Monmouthshire requires

“The medical must be completed by a Medical Practitioner registered by the UK General Medical Council (the vision section may be completed by an optician/ Optometrist registered by the General Optical Council (GOC))”
How long it lasts: 4 months from the date the practitioner completes the certificate
How often: On application, every 5 years between the ages of 45 and 65, then every year from 65 - or at any time the licensing authority or the medical practitioner asks
Form: A GMC-registered practitioner must complete it in person having considered your NHS Summary Medical Records. The vision section may be done by a GOC-registered optician or optometrist
