Taxi driver medical in Broxtowe

Only a provider the council names

The council will not accept a certificate from a doctor of your choosing. Use the provider they name, or you will have paid for a medical twice.

What Broxtowe requires

“The Council requires that applicants and current drivers undergo medicals through the Council’s preferred third party provider or their own doctor provided they have been registered with that doctor or practice for at least the last 12 months”
How often: At initial application, then at ages 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65, and annually after 65
Form: The council's own form, supplied by the Licensing Clerk after the application is submitted - it is not downloadable, and the policy warns the examination 'should NOT be arranged until after the application has been submitted as the appropriate form will be supplied by the Licensing Clerk'
Possible exemption: not published. The HGV/PSV wording on the Becoming a Taxi Driver page ('brings taxi drivers in line with HGV and PSV drivers') is an explanation of why the Group 2 standard is used, NOT an exemption for HGV/PSV licence holders. The PCV/PSV passage at operator condition 20 is about fulfilling bookings
