Taxi driver medical in Lewes

You are not tied to your own surgery, which usually means a shorter wait and a lower fee. The condition is the records: the doctor must have seen your full history, not just examined you on the day.

What Lewes requires

“This requirement to produce a medical assessment applies to any applicant unless the applicant is the holder of a current passenger services vehicle or heavy goods vehicle licence and is able to provide proof of medical examination undertaken in the three months prior to the application being made”
How often: 45 to 65: at least every 5 years; over 65: annually. Separately, drivers aged 60 to 65 must pass an ANNUAL EYESIGHT TEST on top of the medical

Possible exemption: HGV/PSV accepted - a holder of a current passenger services vehicle or heavy goods vehicle licence is exempt, provided they can prove a medical examination undertaken in the three months prior to the application being made
Their own sources disagree on this. Joint licensing service with Eastbourne Borough Council but the two run SEPARATE forms and guidance documents - do not mix them up. The 2-years-of-medical-records rule is unusually specific and is stated as an eligibility criterion in its own right ('Be able to provide 2 years of Ring them before you book anything.
