Taxi driver medical in Glasgow

Which doctor Glasgow will accept, how often you have to repeat it and which form they want. Councils disagree with each other on every one of those, so this is Glasgow’s answer and nobody else’s.

Who can carry it out

Only a provider the council names

The council will not accept a certificate from a doctor of your choosing. Use the provider they name, or you will have paid for a medical twice.

What Glasgow requires

“If the Council has a concern regarding your fitness to drive, we will normally ask you to undergo a medical examination at this stage”
How often: There is no routine medical ladder. You are referred for a Group 2 medical only if the council has a concern about your fitness to drive, if an annual medical was made a condition of your licence when it was granted, if you tell them your health has changed, or when you turn 65 during the licence
Form: No form to take to your own GP. PAM post you a questionnaire with your appointment details, and you hand it in on the day
