Taxi driver medical in Dartford

Which doctor Dartford will accept, how often you have to repeat it and which form they want. Councils disagree with each other on every one of those, so this is Dartford’s answer and nobody else’s.

What Dartford requires

• “Medical checks (at the applicant’s/Driver’s expense), will need to be undertaken as follows: • on initial application; then • every three (3) years up to the age of seventy (70), unless restricted to a shorter period for medical reasons; • at the age of seventy (70), annually, without an upper age limit”
• How often: On initial application, then every three years up to age 70 (or sooner if restricted for medical reasons), and annually from 70 with no upper age limit. The council can demand more frequent checks if a condition deteriorates
• Form: Dartford's own 'DBC medical form' - Medical Report on an Applicant for a Hackney Carriage or Private Hire Driver's Licence. It is handed to you at your DBS appointment and is also downloadable from the council's PDF library
