The most relaxed category there is. Any doctor on the GMC register can sign it, so a private medical centre is generally faster and cheaper than waiting for a GP appointment.

What Solihull requires

The most open of all the councils checked: any GMC-registered medical practitioner, which may be your own GP. No records requirement is stated.
The certificate must be dated within one month of your application, and is only valid for one month. This is by far the shortest window found anywhere.
Required at 45, then every five years to 65, then annually.
You must email it in before the milestone age or your licence may be suspended until you do.
There is usually a charge and the council does not set it.
