Taxi driver medical in Scottish Borders

You are not tied to your own surgery, which usually means a shorter wait and a lower fee. The condition is the records: the doctor must have seen your full history, not just examined you on the day.

What Scottish Borders requires

“The policy will be effective from 1 April 2018 and will require all new and existing applicants to submit evidence from their GP or other medically qualified professional that they meet the Group 2 standard required by DVLA”
How often: From 18, then reassessed at 45; from 45 onwards every five years; from 65 annually. Also whenever you disclose a disability or medical condition that may affect your driving while a licence is in force
Form: Evidence from your GP or another medically qualified professional that you meet the DVLA Group 2 standard
